Vape Pen Batteries

Black-35 Mah Battery

If you’re going to be using your vape pen out of the house a lot, battery life is a big concern. If you need to take a charger or a spare device with you whenever you leave the house, it not only gets annoying, but if you forget your spare or charger you may be left without something to vape. That’s why many of the best vape pen batteries offer huge battery life. All of the batteries in this list are “integrated” into the device, so they can’t be removed and are charged using a USB cable.

The “capacity” of the battery is a measure of how long it will last on a full charge, and this is shown by a value followed by mAh (which stands for milliamp-hours). If everything else is equal, batteries with higher mAh ratings will last longer before needing charging. Basic vape pens often have a rating of 650 mAh, but there are many better options on the market too:

The eGo AIO from Joyetech and the Starling from UD both offer a 1,500 mAh battery capacity with vape pen style operation. This is more than enough battery life to get most vapers through a whole day of use, despite being ranked at the very bottom of this list. In other words, these vape batteries are very capable on their own, but it only gets better from here.

The eGo AIO is an “all in one” style e-cigarette, which means it incorporates an atomizer and tank into the main body of the device. In other words, all you need to start vaping is the eGo AIO and some delicious e-juice. The AIO comes with a 2 ml capacity tank and two 0.6 ohm coils, and can put out up to 28 W of power

A Note on Battery Safety-Black-35 Mah Battery

Vape pen batteries are safe as long as you follow safe charging practices, but if you’re venturing into the world of mods, there is a bit more to consider. For mods that need a separately-purchased battery, it’s important to learn the basics of battery safety to ensure you don’t run into any issues. We have a post with some key battery safety tips that has all of the information you need.

But what if you want to save money but still get one of the best vape pen batteries you can? Rather than just choose the most affordable vape batteries, you might want something as capable as possible that doesn’t break the bank. We’ve put together this list with this in mind, looking through the batteries on offer at stores such as DirectVapor, My Vapor Store, My Freedom Smokes, Vape NW and VaporDNA to find vape pen batteries that are both affordable and capable.

5 – Joyetech eGo AIO / Black-35 Mah Battery

The eGo AIO from Joyetech and the Starling from UD both offer a 1,500 mAh battery capacity with vape pen style operation. This is more than enough battery life to get most vapers through a whole day of use, despite being ranked at the very bottom of this list. In other words, these vape batteries are very capable on their own, but it only gets better from here.

The eGo AIO is an “all in one” style e-cigarette, which means it incorporates an atomizer and tank into the main body of the device. In other words, all you need to start vaping is the eGo AIO and some delicious e-juice. The AIO comes with a 2 ml capacity tank and two 0.6 ohm coils, and can put out up to 28 W of power.

The UD Starling is a bottom-firing device. This makes it a little different to the others on this list – it’s like a cross between a mechanical mod and a vape pen. It comes with a 3 ml sub ohm tank and 1.8 ohm and 0.5 ohm coils, for a maximum power output of 35 W. The tank is top-filling too, which adds to the ease of use of the device.

4 – VaporFi Rocket – Black-35 Mah Battery

The Rocket from VaporFi isn’t the most affordable device in the world, but it’s high-quality and offers a substantial battery capacity of 1,600 mAh. It has a very traditional vape pen battery appearance, with a large firing button in the center, but also features a ring around the bottom which allows you to vary the voltage it puts out. This allows you to set the output from the Rocket anywhere from 3.2 to 4.8 V, giving you additional control over your performance. It also comes with a 2.5 ml tank and a 1.8 ohm atomizer head, which is well-suited to just-switching smokers looking for a smoking-like experience with mouth-to-lung inhales.

3 – Smok eGo Cloud –Black-35 Mah Battery

Taking a big step up in this list of the best vape pen batteries when it comes to battery life are two devices from Smok. (We’ve combined them into a single entry here so we can feature more great vape batteries on this list.)

The eGo Cloud is the larger-capacity option, coming with a huge 2,200 mAh battery while still maintaining a simple appearance and operation. The device doesn’t have any fancy bells and whistles; it just puts out a solid amount of power for a long time. You can pick up the eGo Cloud

The Stick One Plus is a kit from Smok which includes the upgraded Cloud Plus battery – offering a still-impressive capacity of 2,000 mAh – along with the Micro TFV4 sub ohm tank. The Cloud Plus is much like the original Cloud, but improves the consistency of the power output and also looks a little cooler. The Micro TFV4 is a 3.5 ml capacity version of one of the best sub ohm tanks on the market, with a top-filling system for e-liquid and coming with sub-ohm coils that support vaping at up to 60 W.

2 – Joyetech eGo One –Black-35 Mah Battery

Black-35 Mah Battery is a “next-generation” device, which easily makes it one of the best vape pen batteries on the market. While many basic vape pen batteries only support high-resistance vaping, the eGo One is fully-equipped to power sub ohm coils. The result is a device which packs huge amounts of flavor and puts out serious clouds.

The 2,200 mAh version of the eGo One has the longest-lasting battery in the series, and comes with a 2.5 ml capacity tank and two atomizer heads (one 0.5 ohm and one 1 ohm option). It works as simply as any other vape pen – just fill up and press the button to vape – but the performance is exceptional, blowing most of the competition out of the water. It comes in a kit

1 – Eleaf iJust 2

Topping this list of the best vape pen batteries in terms of battery life is the iJust 2 from Eleaf, best known for their iStick series. The iJust 2 is very similar to the eGo One, having a chunky vape pen look and operation but offering support for sub ohm coils. This means two things: it’s easy to use and it performs excellently. With a 2,600 mAh battery, you really don’t need to worry about running out of battery during a day of vaping; it’s right up there with many box mods when it comes to battery life.

The iJust 2 comes in a kit with a huge 5.5 ml tank, which features adjustable airflow and sub ohm coils (with a 0.3 ohm option included). Combined with one of the best vape batteries on the market, it’s hard to beat. You can
